Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. is seeking a Systems Studies Engineer III to independently perform and lead power systems studies across electromagnetic transients, load flow, short-circuit, and stability analyses.

You will also guide projects, develop data-driven insights, and advance grid modernization initiatives in collaboration with internal teams and external partners. You will leverage PSLF, PSS/E, DigSILENT, MATLAB, and other tools while mentoring others and contributing to

Qualifications

• BSEE, MS/ME or PhD in electrical engineering with power emphasis.
• 5+ years in power systems studies consulting or utility planning.
• Advanced knowledge of power systems operation and control.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct load flow, transient stability, and related studies.
• Lead insulation coordination, harmonic, short-circuit, and grounding studies.
• Analyze renewables, storage, and grid modernization projects.
• Manage projects with goals, budgets, and schedules; prepare reports.
• Develop data for studies; apply data mining and visualization techniques.
• Develop and test software tools for data analysis and reporting.
