Job summary

DNV Energy Systems is seeking a Senior Resource Integration Engineer in North America to lead studies for renewable and conventional generation. You will guide technical analyses, collaborate with clients, and drive project delivery in a dynamic energy landscape.

The role requires 5+ years of power systems experience, proficiency with PSS/E/PSCAD/PowerWorld, and strong communication. Hybrid work from Canadian offices or client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and relevant experience in electric power systems.
• At least 5 years of experience including familiarity with North American markets (ISO/RTO).
• Hands-on experience with power-system tools PSS/E, TARA, PSLF, PowerWorld, PSCAD.
• Knowledge of interconnection studies, grid planning, and reliability concepts.
• Excellent written and spoken English; willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Active PE license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform steady state, dynamic, short-circuit and PSCAD modeling for renewable and conventional generation resources.
• Lead and advance study processes, ensuring high-quality, timely deliverables.
• Develop scripts and troubleshoot study workflows to reduce rework.
• Collaborate with team members on study requirements, including billable hours.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for grid reliability and energy markets.
• Lead interconnection studies per ISO/RTO requirements and methodologies.
• Engage with industry stakeholders and stay updated on market changes.
• Support business development with proposals and qualifications responses.
