Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of electric power systems and renewables.
• Proficiency with power-system tools such as PSS/E, TARA, PSLF, PowerWorld, PSCAD, AUTOCAD.
• Excellent written and spoken English; able to communicate clearly with clients.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and work in a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform steady state, dynamic, short-circuit and PSCAD model development for renewables and conventional generation resources.
• Lead studies in power flow, transient stability, short-circuit, EMT, harmonics, techno-economics for transmission, distribution, load, and generator applications.
• Lead and advance script development and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality, timely deliverables.
• Collaborate with team members on study requirements including billable hours and commercial items.
• Serve as SME for grid reliability and energy market topics; guide junior staff.
• Conduct generator interconnection studies per ISOs/RTOs requirements; manage client communications.
• Attend stakeholder meetings and monitor market changes; contribute to research and tool development.
• Assist in responding to RFPs and preparing SOQs for new opportunities.
