Job summary

RESA Power is seeking experienced Electrical Testing Techs or individuals with electrical backgrounds in engineering or testing for our Blaine, MN location. The role involves servicing power transmission and distribution equipment and requires travel 75% with per diem and hotel paid by the company.

Union benefits include medical, dental, pension, and overtime structure. Compensation ranges from $40.43 to $53.91 per hour, with daily per diem during travel and full benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and 5 years in a related field.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and standards is desired.
• Experience with high voltage equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, start-up and collect data of low, medium and high voltage systems up to 500kV.
• Test high voltage switchgear and circuit breakers.
• Inspect, maintain, test and repair transformers and related equipment (45 KVA to 130 MVA).
• Perform maintenance, testing and repair on circuit breakers (480V to 15 kV).
• Work with SF6 equipment and gas insulated switchgear (desirable).
• Operate high voltage test equipment including Doble Power Factor sets (preferred).
• Rotate emergency on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies.
• All work complies with regulatory laws.
