Job summary
Amazon AWS seeks a Sr. Power Systems Engineer, Generation to design and evaluate power systems and energy storage for AWS data centers. You will model power flow, define generation requirements, and lead design integration to maximize system capacity.
You will collaborate with utility, data center, hardware, compute, software, operations, finance, legal, and policy teams to deliver highly available power at scale and optimize costs across global infrastructure.

- Experience in power systems and energy storage
Responsibilities
- Develop designs and analysis of energy storage technologies including battery and long-duration storage
- Evaluate power generation configurations for primary, temporary, or backup power
- Integrate diverse power sources (utilities, diesels, gas turbines, renewables) for data center loads
- Interpret and develop SLDs, drawings, specs, and performance data
