Job summary

Amazon seeks an experienced Senior Product Engineer, Power Generation, to lead development of primary, temporary, and backup power solutions for AWS data centers. You will own complex problems across teams, driving design, validation, and deployment while aligning with safety, cost, and sustainability goals.

The role requires deep knowledge of diesel, gas turbines, energy storage, and related controls, and emphasizes collaboration with internal and external partners across global sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities such as data centers is required.
• Experience researching new designs and construction methods for data center equipment is desired.
• Experience with diesel generators, energy storage, and power systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs and analyses for power generation sources to serve data center loads in grid-connected or grid-independent configurations.
• Lead technical development of power generation and energy products for various applications.
• Define infrastructure, deployment, and operations requirements for owned power products.
• Interpret and develop SLDs, process flow, and equipment submittals to advance concepts.
