Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Power Systems Engineer, Generation, to advance power delivery for AWS data centers.

You will develop advanced electrical systems, model power flow, define generation requirements, and lead design integration with multiple teams across utilities, data centers, hardware, and software. You will own complex problems spanning regions, driving technical decisions and risk management while optimizing cost and reliability of critical power infrastructure.

Competenze

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
6+ years of experience with power systems or electrical design.
Experience with dynamic and transient power system modeling software (PSCAD/PSSE).
Extensive knowledge of power generation equipment and controls.
Design experience with medium/high-voltage equipment and substation configurations.
Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and electrical drawings.

Mansioni

Develop designs and analysis of energy storage technologies including battery energy storage and long duration systems.
Evaluate and support development of power generation configurations for various applications.
Integrate different power sources to serve data center loads in grid-connected or grid-independent configurations.
Understand data center power demands and grid integration of large loads.
Interpret and develop single line drawings, submittals, and equipment specifications.
Provide input to Data Center Engineering for design revisions and upgrades.
Collaborate across organizations and travel as needed.
