Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks an experienced Senior Product Engineer, Power Generation, to lead evaluation, development, design, and deployment of primary, temporary, and backup power products for AWS data centers. You will influence multiple teams, own complex problems, and drive technical decisions across global infrastructure strategy.

You will guide development of power generation solutions, ensuring safety, availability, and cost objectives while collaborating with utilities,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
Experience in industrial or commercial engineering for mission critical facilities.
Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
Experience with power generation equipment, systems, controls, including diesel generators, distributed energy resources, gas turbines, battery energy storage systems.
Experience with process safety, natural gas piping and infrastructure, and establishing requirements, reference designs, and technical direction.
Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, single and three-line diagrams, P&ID drawings, submittals, sequence of operations, and mechanical and electrical drawing packages.

Responsibilities

Develop designs and analysis of different power generation sources for data centers.
Lead the technical development of power generation and energy products for different applications.
Define infrastructure, deployment, and operations requirements for power generation products you own.
Understand the design and functionality of the global data center fleet, including existing, upcoming, and unique site designs.
Interpret, evaluate, and develop Single Line Drawings (SLD) or process flow drawings, engineering layout drawings, equipment submittals, equipment specifications documentation, and performance data to advance concepts and solutions.
Provide feedback to the Design Engineering teams for design revisions for new data centers and to Field Engineering for operational data center upgrades.
Provide technical subject matter expertise to peers, senior management and partner teams.
Working on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions.
Being a leader within the group as well as within other teams.
Being positive and offer creative, out of the box solutions.
