Job summary

Salas O’Brien is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design efforts for power generation and distribution projects. The role emphasizes ownership of design packages, mentoring junior engineers, and coordinating with owners, architects, and contractors.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering required.
Minimum 15+ years in complex electrical systems.
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Experience with Revit required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong planning and organizational abilities.
Willingness to travel domestically.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical design packages from concept to IFC for power generation and distribution.
Coordinate with vendors for cost-effective, timely solutions.
Develop one-line, three-line, and power/control diagrams.
Ensure compliance with IEEE, UL, NFPA standards.
Mentor engineers and designers in standards and critical thinking.
Communicate effectively with architects, owners, contractors.
