Job summary

Upcoresolutions seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer – Power Systems to lead engineering projects across North America. You will guide design from concept through execution, act as technical lead, and partner with clients while mentoring teams.

The role spans oil & gas, renewables, distributed power, data centers, and power generation, requiring PE licensure and extensive industry experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• PE license required.
• 10+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Experience in technical leadership roles.
• Direct experience supporting industrial facilities.
• Experience using SKM or ETAP.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, API, and AGA standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead moderate to large-scale electrical engineering projects from concept through delivery.
• Serve as a technical lead and make sound decisions on complex engineering issues.
• Develop and oversee power system designs, control drawings, engineering calculations, technical reports, and project documentation.
• Design electrical service interconnections in coordination with utility providers.
• Prepare specifications for procurement, installation, and testing of electrical equipment.
• Perform and/or lead electrical system studies, detailed design, design reviews, field investigations, and technical reporting.
• Utilize SKM/ETAP for system modeling and analysis.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Identify project risks, scope changes, and technical challenges proactively.
• Support proposal development, cost estimating, and business development activities.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers.
