Job summary

Eaton Corporation's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division seeks a Lead Power Distribution Controls Engineer to lead the design, programming, installation, startup, and optimization of automated control and power management systems for critical infrastructure.

This hybrid role is based around multiple Southeast locations in the US, including Louisville, KY, with up to 35% travel. A company vehicle is provided. Salary ranges from $97,000 to $143,000 per year with paid overtime.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution with a minimum 7 years of power distribution controls experience OR Master’s degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of power distribution controls experience OR a minimum 10 years of power distribution controls experience.
Must have a current, unrestricted driver’s license and pass an MVR check per Eaton policy.

Responsibilities

Create, modify, test, and deploy PLC, data concentrators, relay, generator controller, and HMI software for automatic transfer applications.
Follow customer specifications and internal standards for project implementation.
Select components and prepare BOMs.
Provide sketches and direction to electrical designers for drawings.
Prepare SOOs and test procedures.
Assist with factory testing and field start-ups.
Troubleshoot systems onsite and remotely.
Mentor less experienced engineers.
Manage project financials and schedules.
