Siemens Energy seeks a Senior Power Systems Consultant to lead technically challenging projects across North America, including HVDC, BESS, and data center interconnections. You will guide interconnection processes with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and developers while mentoring junior engineers.

Required is a strong background in transmission planning, power-system studies, EMT analyses, and client-facing consulting, with experience on North American utility environments and leading cross-functional

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
8+ years of experience performing transmission-level studies and analyses.
Experience with North American utility/ISO/RTO interconnection processes.
Proficiency with PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, PSLF, or ASPEN.
Customer-facing consulting experience and leadership in grid modernization.

Responsibilities

Lead advanced power system studies for transmission planning and interconnections.
Perform detailed analyses: load flow, short-circuit, transient and stability assessments.
Conduct EMT studies focusing on transients, harmonics and power quality.
Advise customers and coordinate with utilities, ISOs/RTOs and regulators.
Lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers.
