Job summary

Siemens Grid Software is seeking a Lead Power Systems Consultant to join the Power Technologies International (PTI) team. The Senior Lead will perform large-scale simulations of electrical transmission systems for Utilities, Regional Transmission Organizations, and energy asset owners, while mentoring others on the team.

This is a remote position based in the contiguous U.S. You will lead consulting engagements, manage project execution, deliver reports and maintain client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of power systems analysis experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or developing others.
• Experience analyzing power flow and dynamic stability; PSCAD/EMTP-RV preferred.
• Knowledge of NERC Reliability Standards and regional planning practices.
• Strong communication and client-facing presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Performing/leading consulting engagements related to power grid analysis and design.
• Managing and supporting project execution, tracking progress, and adjusting scope/schedule/budget.
• Producing reports and presentations with study results for clients.
• Maintaining relationships with clients and identifying opportunities for further business.
• Developing project plans, budgets, and timelines for proposals.
• Mentoring junior consultants and developing technical skills within the team.
• Developing automation scripts to streamline repetitive tasks and boost efficiency.
• Delivering on-site consulting and training services.
