Job summary

Rosendin Electric seeks an accomplished Power System Protection Engineer III to design and implement protection solutions for medium and high voltage networks serving mission critical facilities. You will mentor staff and deliver coordinated protection strategies for complex projects from design through commissioning.

The role requires advanced engineering expertise, independent problem solving, and collaboration with clients and project teams to ensure reliability and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with a power systems focus.
• U.S.-based Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.
• Advanced experience with protective relaying and protection schemes for power systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, specification, setting calculation, and coordination of protective relaying and relay control schemes.
• Develop protection schemes and relay settings for transformers, generators, transmission lines, feeders, and buses.
• Configure protection relay settings including overcurrent, differential, distance and backup protection.
