Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. seeks a Senior Power System Protection Engineer III to perform protection studies, design relay settings, and support commissioning for critical power networks.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with clients, and use ETAP, SKM, CAPE, and ASPEN to simulate fault scenarios and ensure code compliance.

This role requires leadership, deep technical expertise, and willingness to travel up to 50% to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a power systems focus.
• 6+ years of relevant protection and relay settings experience.
• US-based Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.
• High proficiency with power system modeling tools such as ETAP, SKM, ASPEN, and CAPE.
• Experience protecting data centers and mission critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, specification, setting calculation, and coordination of protective relaying schemes.
• Develop protection schemes and relay settings for transformers, generators, lines, feeders, and buses.
• Perform coordination studies to ensure proper relay operation during faults.
• Support field testing, commissioning, and validation of protection relays.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and collaborate with clients.
