Job summary

Eversource Energy seeks a Lead Planning Engineer to conduct scenario and probabilistic planning studies under current and forecast system conditions. You will provide engineering input to develop robust, low-cost solutions and coordinate with ISO-NE and regional stakeholders.

You will oversee vendor studies, summarize results in reports, and collaborate across departments to develop long-range planning standards and enable new technologies.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 5+ years as a Planning Engineer/related role.
• Experience with transmission planning studies and power system modeling.
• Familiarity with IEEE/NERC planning procedures and regional stakeholder interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead and present scenario and probabilistic planning studies under current and forecast system conditions.
• Coordinate and oversee vendor/consultant studies; review assumptions and integrate findings.
• Prepare outputs in reports, spreadsheets, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop planning standards and enable new technologies.
