Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Senior Engineer – Generator Interconnection to perform power system studies and manage interconnection analyses for the company’s transmission system. You will evaluate new generation connections and provide guidance to customers and internal teams.

You may act as project manager for system impact studies, coordinating from kickoff to completion while aligning multiple stakeholders. This fully remote contract role pays $45–$65/hr with benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with power system planning/operations and tools like PSS/E, MUST, TARA, TSAT, VSAT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run and manage system impact studies for generator interconnection requests.
• Review projects from Transmission Owners and provide technical recommendations.
• Act as SME, communicating study results and requirements to customers, Owners, and internal teams.
