Job summary

NEI Electric Power Engineering is seeking a Senior Interconnection Studies Engineer to lead power-system modelling and large-load interconnection studies for utility clients. You will develop and validate dynamic models and perform contingency, stability, and EMT analyses using PSCAD and planning tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with electric power emphasis or equivalent.
• At least five years of experience in power-system studies, transmission planning, or grid integration.
• Hands-on proficiency with PSCAD and at least one planning tool such as PSSE or PSLF.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate PSCAD/PSSe/PSLF/TSAT models for generation and large-load interconnection studies.
• Lead interconnection studies from application through utility review and commissioning support.
• Prepare study reports, technical memoranda, and scopes of work with budgets.
