Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Project Manager for its Consulting group to lead and execute development, financing, and execution of power generation projects in a remote US-based role.

You will coordinate engineering and financial analyses, manage project teams, and engage utilities, investors, and lenders to deliver value across multiple projects, with opportunities for travel and client interface.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in the power industry.
• Experience as owner's engineer, independent engineer, and/or design engineer.
• Experience managing teams of engineers and projects.
• Experience with power generation technologies and feasibility studies.
• Experience in project finance or financial modeling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop consulting project execution plans to meet client needs.
• Review deliverables such as reports and studies.
• Lead project team by providing clear instruction including technical approaches.
• Manage hours and work performed to budget and scope.
• Develop staff expertise through training and mentoring.
• Prepare proposals for consulting project opportunities.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality.
• Travel occasionally to project locations and client offices.
