Job summary

Genesis Technical & Industrial Staffing is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead a major power generation project in Houston, TX. You will provide executive leadership across execution, safety, schedule, budget, workforce development, and stakeholder engagement for a multi-year EPC program valued at $500M+.

The role demands a proven track record on utility-scale projects and a strong ability to mentor large site teams.

Qualifications

20+ years of progressive experience in power generation construction and project delivery.
Minimum 10+ years in senior leadership roles.
Proven experience leading utility-scale Combined Cycle Power Plant projects.
Demonstrated experience overseeing installation and startup of large gas turbines.
Extensive experience with cogeneration and thermal generation facilities.
Proven ability to manage projects exceeding $500M+ in value.

Responsibilities

Serve as the overall Project Director responsible for safe, successful execution of a large-scale power generation project.
Lead all project phases from mobilization through construction, commissioning, startup, and project closeout.
Direct and manage multidisciplinary project teams including construction management, engineering, project controls, procurement, quality, and commissioning personnel.
Establish project execution strategies, organizational structure, staffing plans, and performance objectives.
Provide executive oversight of project schedules, budgets, productivity, risk management, and commercial performance.
Lead construction activities involving: Combined Cycle Power Plants, Cogeneration Facilities, Large Frame Gas Turbine Installations, HRSGs, Steam Turbine Generators, Balance of Plant Systems.
