Job summary

Conduit Power in Houston, TX is seeking a Lead Project Developer to lead distributed generation development from site identification to Final Investment Decision (FID). You will coordinate land, permitting, environmental, interconnection, engineering and commercial workstreams to keep development on schedule.

The role requires 5+ years of power project development experience, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and the ability to manage multiple projects with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Energy Systems, Real Estate, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in power project development or large-scale project management.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams across land, permitting, interconnection, and finance.
• Familiarity with utility interconnection processes and permitting requirements for energy infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of distributed generation projects from early site identification through Final Investment Decision (FID).
• Develop and maintain project development schedules, milestone tracking, and risk registers.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including development, engineering, environmental, legal, finance, and commercial.
• Ensure projects advance through site control, permitting, interconnection, and FID readiness.
• Maintain organized project documentation to support investment approvals.
• Coordinate site identification, screening, and evaluation of potential sites based on zoning and interconnection feasibility.
• Lead or support negotiations of land agreements (leases, purchase agreements, easements).
• Conduct site diligence including zoning compliance and land-related risks.
• Maintain documentation of site control and land constraints.
