Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, seeks an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with heavy industrial power plant experience to lead projects in the United States. Responsibilities include defining scope, schedules, budgets, cost control, client invoicing, and risk management.

Minimum 13+ years of relevant work experience plus PMP/ CCM or DBIA certification within 12 months is required; travel is expected at 10% or less. CDI Smith supports broad project management excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Thirteen (13) or more years of relevant work experience
• PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list)

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
• Prepares detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures and gains concurrence from stakeholders.
• Manages project costs and profitability.
• Prepares and reviews client billings and ensures timely payment; approves subcontractor invoices.
• Monitors project risks and escalates as appropriate.
• Coordinates submittals to agencies and prepares project schedules and budgets.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
