Job summary

The Perry Group, a CDM Smith company, seeks an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with heavy industrial power plant experience. You will lead project definitions, schedules, budgets and client communications, mentoring junior PMs while ensuring profitability and timely payments.

Responsibilities include coordinating submittals, change management, and monthly reporting; travel 10% or less.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
13+ years of relevant work experience.
PMI/PMP, CCM or DBIA certification required within 12 months.
Significant design-build/EPC experience with heavy industrial power/power plant clients.

Responsibilities

Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
Prepares detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures and budgets; gains concurrence from stakeholders.
Manages project costs and profitability.
Coordinates client billings and ensures timely payments; approves subcontractor invoices.
Monitors project status and risks; escalates as appropriate.
Manages change using change management protocols.
Prepares monthly reports and bid packages; coordinates with construction and engineering teams.
Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
Prepares closeout and Lessons Learned meetings.
