Job summary

Worley is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant for Power & New Energy in a hybrid role based in California. You will support utilities, developers, and industrial clients with transmission, distribution, and substation projects, integrating renewable energy and new grid technologies.

You will lead technical analyses, model power systems, prepare detailed reports, and engage customers across multiple stages of project delivery, with opportunities for leadership and business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical/Power Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years' experience in utility/power infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency with power-systems software and modeling tools.
• Understanding of interconnection processes and grid codes.
• Strong client-facing advisory and reports delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform analyses to support transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
• Conduct economic evaluations, feasibility studies, and investment analyses.
• Model power systems using industry-standard software and tools.
• Support interconnection studies, grid integration, and energy transition work.
• Develop layouts, drawings, technical documentation, and design packages.
• Review engineering designs for accuracy, code compliance, and constructability.
• Prepare customer-ready technical reports and presentations.
• Present findings to customers, stakeholders, and regulators when required.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Support proposals, scoping, cost estimating, and business case work.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related

Master’s degree preferred

PE licensure preferred or ability to obtain US licensure
