Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Power Generation Project Manager to join a multi-discipline team responsible for traditional and renewable power projects, including gas-fired engines, turbines, solar, wind, and energy storage.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects from pre-positioning to completion, while building and maintaining strong client relationships. The role requires a client-focused leader with 7+ years of PM experience, a Bachelor's degree

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 7 years related experience.
• 2 years project management experience.
• Ability to interact with various design teams; excellent organizational, project management and communication skills.
• Active participation in employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team, manage schedule, budget, coordinate with engineering disciplines, and provide engineering support for design and Owner's Engineer projects.
• Provide daily leadership to the project team and technical staff.
• Develop the project work plan for the execution of the project.
• Achieve project schedule, quality, and profitability goals; identify and process scope changes.
• Maintain regular communication within the project team and with the client to align deliverables with expectations.
• Develop and maintain client relations and perform marketing, business development and consulting activities.
• Act as proposal manager, review contract terms, evaluate risks, and develop the scope of work.
• Implement quality control checks through routine design reviews and QA.
• Conduct negotiations to obtain client approval and administer changes.
• Provide training and mentoring to project team on PM and consulting issues.
• Routinely report project progress to the Business Group Manager and Operations leaders.
