Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Power Generation Project Manager to lead multi-discipline teams on utility-scale power projects, including traditional generation, solar, wind and storage.

You will manage scope, schedule and budget while maintaining strong client relationships from pre-positioning through project delivery. You will work with engineers and subcontractors to deliver safe, reliable energy solutions, provide leadership and mentoring, and help grow HDR’s Power Generation business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent).
• 7 years related experience.
• A minimum of 2 years project management experience.
• An attitude and commitment to HDR's employee-owned culture.
• 10 years of relevant utility-scale power project management experience.
• Demonstrated business development and strategic planning skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership and mentoring skills.
• MS Office and Adobe experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team, manage schedule and budget, and coordinate with engineering disciplines.
• Provide daily leadership to project team and technical staff on project activities.
• Develop the project work plan for execution.
• Achieve schedule, quality and profitability goals; manage scope changes.
• Maintain client relations and coordinate with the client on deliverables.
• Perform marketing, business development and consulting with existing and new clients.
• Act as proposal manager; review contracts and assess risks.
• Implement quality control and lead design reviews.
• Negotiate to obtain client approval and manage change orders.
• Provide training and mentoring to project staff on PM issues.
• Routinely report progress to Business Group Manager and Operations.
• Perform other duties as needed
