Job summary

Vantage Point Solutions is seeking a Senior Power Generation Engineer to guide technical excellence and growth of the power generation practice. You will oversee complex projects, mentor staff, and support business development for utility clients.

The role requires deep knowledge of generation, transmission, substation design, and protection and control, with PE licensure and multi-state eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of electrical power systems including generation, transmission, substation design, and protection and control.
• Experience with coal-fired and natural gas power generation plants.
• Strong client engagement and consulting skills with ability to assess project risks and deliver practical solutions.
• Experience using industry-standard engineering design software.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Strategic leadership to guide the power generation practice and oversee project portfolios.
• Develop and nurture relationships with utility clients and lead proposal development.
• Provide technical oversight and act as Engineer of Record when required to ensure compliance and quality.
• Oversee project delivery, budgeting, and resource management to meet client expectations.
