Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Cost Estimator to support power generation projects, preferably in Houston, TX. The role requires experience with large-scale electrical, mechanical or plumbing estimating and collaboration with engineers and designers.

Responsibilities include preparing detailed cost estimates for all project phases, reviewing proposals, and participating in cost negotiations. The candidate must have a strong client focus and commitment to safety and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management, engineering, business, environmental services or related coursework.
• 5+ years of full time, technical experience in one of the estimating areas of architecture, electrical, mechanical or plumbing.
• Strong client focus and ethical decision-making in line with company policies.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and adherence to health, safety and harassment policies.

Responsibilities

• Confer with designers, consultants and contractors to establish detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
• Prepare and facilitate detailed cost estimates for all design and construction phases.
• Supervise quantity surveys and cost evaluations related to drawings, specs, and changes.
• Review contractor estimates and determine value relative to scope of work.
