Job summary

Worley in Houston seeks an experienced Cost Estimator to develop I, II, III & IV CAPEX and OPEX estimates for major energy projects. You will work with Excel, Access and specialized tools to support tendering, budgeting, and execution across Pre-FEED to FEED phases.

Lead and mentor a team of estimators, manage data quality, and ensure adherence to Worley estimating standards. Willingness to travel and work extended hours is expected in this role.

Qualifications

• Thorough technical and practical estimating skills with ability to deliver accurate work.
• Knowledge of discipline standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in project engineering and management with estimating expertise.
• Ability to lead cost estimating activities for large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to the preparation and supervision of cost estimates across project phases (Pre-FEED to FEED).
• Support development of estimating standards and systems for tenders and proposals.
• Define Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) per customer and project requirements.
• Prepare estimate plans for methodologies and principles used in estimates.
• Review design scope and quantities for completeness and coordinate with teams to refine estimates.
• Assist in collecting, verifying and integrating scope into cost estimates.
• Identify and propose solutions to cost estimating challenges and risks.
• Benchmark estimates against prior data, market norms and industry standards.
• Support development of future benchmarking tools and estimation processes.
• Develop escalation models and assist with owner cost estimation as needed.
• Ensure cost estimates comply with Worley review procedures.
