The Weitz Company is seeking a Senior Project Superintendent to lead profitable field operations on complex, large projects. You will partner with the Project Manager to manage schedule, budget, and staff while establishing a strong safety culture on the jobsite.

Nationwide travel or relocation may be required to support business needs and projects; strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors are essential to delivering high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Industry related college degree preferred.
• Eight+ years of field and project construction management experience; power generation experience required.
• Must be able to read and interpret construction documents and communicate, negotiate and solve problems; strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Construct the project in accordance with plans, schedule, specifications and standards.
• Lead subcontractors and field employees on a jobsite.
• Lead project safety in accordance with the company’s Safety Policy.
• Work with the Project Manager to manage the project schedule, budget and staff.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule using scheduling software; prepare two-week look-ahead schedules.
• Assist with buyout and selection of major subcontractors.
• Identify ways to reduce cost and improve schedule dates and project quality.
• Ensure project documents are accurate and timely; closeout documents, submittals, daily logs, etc.
