Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex construction efforts on a traveling team with 75% travel. You will oversee administrative and field activities, manage schedules, budgets, and safety plans, and guide multiple projects to meet quality standards while maintaining stakeholder relationships.

Ideal candidates have at least five years in construction project management, strong leadership and negotiation skills, and experience with tools like Procore and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Education: Industry-related college degree required; equivalent combination considered.
• Experience: minimum five (5) years in construction with project management leadership.
• Skills: strong communication, leadership, negotiation, and client relations abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage project schedules, address long lead items, and update plans.
• Negotiate and execute change orders, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Prepare monthly status reports, owner billings, and financial risk assessments.
• Identify value engineering and scope reduction opportunities.
• Ensure safety plans are communicated to project teams and subs.
• Assist with preconstruction efforts and manage buy-out processes.
• Detect constructability issues and ensure progress stays within scope.
• Recommend staff development, assignments, and promotions.
