Job summary

Renesas Electronics is seeking a Senior Manager of Field Applications Engineering to lead strategic technical engagement with our AI and hyperscaler customers. This role heads a high-performance team of FAEs focused on power delivery for datacenters, servers, and networking platforms.

It is a hands-on, player/coach position balancing ownership of customer programs with leadership and development of a growing FAE organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on Field Applications Engineer experience with power supply or power management products.
• 8+ years in power electronics, digital multiphase power delivery, server or AI platform power, or related hardware systems.
• Deep expertise in power modules, digital multiphase controllers, VRMs, high-current, low-voltage conversion.
• Strong lab-based debugging skills with oscilloscopes, current probes, electronic loads, and transient analysis.
• Proven ability to interface with customers on complex power topics and drive issues to closure.
• 2+ years of people leadership experience in a team lead/manager role.
• Strong communication skills for technical to executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical interface for strategic datacenter accounts, driving system-level power architecture engagements from concept through production.
• Provide leadership on digital multiphase power, power modules, and server-class power delivery architectures for AI accelerators, CPUs, and networking platforms.
• Engage in architecture reviews, schematic/layout feedback, validation planning, bring-up, and validation.
• Troubleshoot complex power issues using lab instrumentation and transient analysis tools.
• Lead technical escalations with internal teams to ensure rapid, high-quality resolutions.
• Deliver technical updates and program closure reports to leadership.
• Coach and develop a team of FAEs supporting strategic AI and hyperscaler customers.
• Manage resource allocation across accounts and maintain program visibility and risk tracking.
