Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Sr. Staff Manufacturing Engineer for Power Electronics at its Carson, CA facility.

You will serve as the principal technical authority coordinating Design Release Engineers, Manufacturing Engineering and external suppliers to ensure robust, scalable production capabilities for high‑voltage power electronics. You will vet suppliers, drive DFM/DFx, lead equipment qualification, and support pilot lines through full NPI and ramp, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/related field; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years in manufacturing engineering, supplier industrialization or DFM.
• Experience vetting external suppliers, CMs, and equipment integrators.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier vetting, audits, and approvals for production lines.
• Collaborate with design engineers to optimize producibility and reduce BOM complexity.
• Evaluate processes, tooling, and fixtures across supplier components.
