Job summary

Infinite Electronics is seeking a senior electrical engineer to lead the design, development and qualification of power‑conversion electronics for Battery Back Up (BBU) and UPS systems. You will own BMS hardware, bidirectional DC‑DC converters, and protection architectures, working with firmware on control algorithms and system integration.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive build‑versus‑buy analyses, and coordinate with labs for UL/IEC safety qualification and regulatory testing.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's preferred.
8+ years in power electronics hardware design for battery backup or UPS.
Experience with bidirectional DC-DC converters and BMS hardware.
Experience with high‑voltage/high‑current power stages and reliability analysis.
Familiarity with CAN/CAN-FD, I2C, SPI, UART, Modbus interfaces.

Responsibilities

Serve as senior electrical design authority from architecture to production release.
Design bidirectional DC-DC converters and select magnetics/topology.
Develop charging/discharging circuitry for Li-ion, LiFePO4, or lead-acid.
Define protection architectures and ensure fail‑safe operation.
Design BMS hardware including AFE, cell monitoring, isolation, sensing.
Validation: tests, thermal, reliability, MTBF, FMEA; document results.
Collaborate with firmware on control algorithms and telemetry.
Support safety/regulatory qualification (UL/IEC) and supplier management.
