You will apply deep expertise in switching converters, magnetics, and control loops, delivering reliable hardware and ensuring compliance with stringent standards. Active SECRET or higher clearance preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on design expertise with power supply topologies (buck, boost, flyback, forward, resonant, PFC).
• Strong understanding of EMC/EMI requirements and mitigation techniques.
• Experience in schematic capture and PCB design for power supplies.
• Ability to perform power electronics simulations.
• Degree in STEM with 5+ years of experience (or advanced degree with 3+ years).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Aufgaben

• Lead design and development of power electronics hardware incl. DC/DC and AC/DC converters.
• Perform circuit analysis, modeling, and component selection to meet requirements.
• Generate docs: requirements, schematics, BOMs, test plans.
• Support integration, verification, validation, and qualification testing.
• Collaborate with Systems, Mechanical, Software, Manufacturing teams through lifecycle.
• Diagnose power conversion performance, EMI/EMC, and thermal issues.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and mission assurance.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote technical excellence.
