Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking an experienced power electronics engineer to lead the design and development of high-performance converters, motor controllers, and power supplies through analysis, integration, and verification.

You will troubleshoot EMI/EMC, thermal issues, and performance while collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams and mentoring junior engineers to ensure robust, compliant hardware.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing power supply topologies, control schemes, and stable converters.
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC mitigation, schematic capture, PCB design, and power electronics simulation.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance; active Secret clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of power electronics hardware from analysis to qualification.
• Troubleshoot performance, EMI/EMC, and thermal issues; mentor junior engineers across teams.
