Job summary

LG Electronics in Troy, MI seeks a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join our EV powertrain-focused team. You will collaborate with customers and HQ to deploy advanced technologies, deliver robust solutions, and support critical activities from requirements through validation.

The role requires a strong background in power electronics, MOSFET/diode analysis, and experience with automotive development processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering is required.
• A minimum 5-year experience of development engineering in the automotive industry or related industry.
• Experience in the practical applications of power electronics engineering; including converter and inverter technologies.
• Skill in analysis of the semiconductors like MOSFET, diode, gate drive, OP-amp and digital circuits.

Responsibilities

• Guide the development of customer technical communication to ensure correct and meaningful customer requirements are understood by internal colleagues.
• Provide on-site engineering support and service at customer locations.
• Lead root cause analysis of warranty products and report to the customer and HQ teams.
• Lead technical risk reporting based on customer communication and cross-functional inputs.
• Create communication of technical information for RFQ’s, RFP’s and quoting stages of projects.
