Job summary

LG Magna e-Powertrain USA, Inc. in Troy, MI seeks a Power Electronics Engineer to advance EV powertrain development.

You will collaborate closely with customers and HQ to ensure accurate requirements, deliver robust engineering solutions, and support on-site tasks such as software reflash and component testing. The role requires a Bachelor's in electrical/electronic engineering, 5+ years in automotive development, and strong knowledge of power electronics, MOSFETs, and circuit analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering required.
• 5+ years in automotive development engineering.
• Experience in power electronics including converters/inverters.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control configurations.
• Proficient with testing equipment (oscilloscope, function generator, power supply).
• Able to coordinate across time zones (HQ Korea reference).
• Proficient with MS Project, MS Office, MS Teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer technical communications to capture requirements.
• Provide on-site engineering support at customer locations.
• Lead root cause analysis of warranty products and report findings.
• Report technical risks to HQ and cross-functional teams.
• Prepare RFQ/RFP materials with HQ input and act as technical liaison.
