Job summary

LG Magna e-Powertrain USA, Inc. in Troy, MI, is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to join our team. You will develop electric vehicle powertrain solutions, collaborate with customers, and drive design verification from our Headquarters Engineering Center.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in automotive power electronics, experience with MOSFETs, diodes, and control circuitry, and are able to communicate across global teams. On-site role offering extensive collaboration and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering is required.
• A minimum 5-year experience in development engineering in automotive or related industries.
• Experience applying power electronics, converters and inverters.

Responsibilities

• Guide customer technical communication to ensure correct requirements.
• Attend PDT meetings and assist issues during development and mass production.
• Create/maintain engineering specs, DFMEAs, and DVP&Rs.
• Provide on-site engineering support at customer locations.
• Lead root cause analysis of warranty products and report findings.
• Coordinate technical risk reporting with HQ and global teams.
• Prepare technical responses for RFQ/RFPs and act as technical liaison with customer.
