Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems Division is seeking a Design Engineer - Power Distribution. This role can be remote within the United States and supports turnkey electrical projects including high- and medium-voltage substations for utilities, data centers, and industrial facilities.

You will lead engineering design, develop complete packages (single/three-line diagrams, wiring, layouts), coordinate electrical and civil work, and manage deliverables, schedules, and budgets with

Qualifications

• BS in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
• 7+ years electrical engineering or electrical design experience.
• Experience in medium voltage power distribution or substation design.
• US work authorization without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of medium- and high-voltage power distribution and substation projects.
• Develop complete engineering packages including lines, schematics and layouts.
• Coordinate electrical and civil design packages for quality and compliance.
• Develop complete engineering packages coordinating electrical and civil design activities.
• Manage design deliverables, schedules, budgets, and technical accuracy with project teams.
• Apply value-driven engineering to optimize designs and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders on technical solutions.
• Participate in site assessments and field walkdowns for proposals and scopes.
• Prepare engineering estimates and support project planning.
• Mentor fellow engineers and support professional growth.
• Travel ~10% for customer meetings and site visits.
