Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Power Delivery Project Management Area Lead to guide day-to-day PM activities for HV/EHV projects across the United States. The role emphasizes quality, client satisfaction, and a strong team culture.

You will lead project design, budgets, schedules, risk management, and QA/QC, mentor PMs, coordinate with area managers, and ensure alignment with corporate goals and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering or related field required, plus significant PM experience in Power & Energy.
• 15 years of post-education project management experience in Power Delivery/Utility.
• 5+ years leading engineering/construction teams for HV/EHV projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership for HV/EHV projects, overseeing budgets, forecasts, margins, KPIs.
• Develop and execute BU/department recruiting plans; monitor retention.
• Oversee performance reviews and salary recommendations for staff.
• Mentor PMs and establish strong mentoring relationships.
• Engage stakeholders at all levels; report project progress to clients and leadership.
• Support Go/No-Go decisions, contract reviews, risk mitigation, and pricing reviews.
• Lead or participate in contract negotiations and client presentations.
• Ensure QA/QC and technical reviews; provide strategic input to clients.
• Maintain project documentation: PMPs, QP, PSP, and risk registers.
