Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Power Delivery Project Management Area Lead to oversee local/regional PM teams delivering high‑voltage projects. Occasional travel to client or office sites is expected, with a flexible work location within the United States.

The role focuses on leadership, strategic guidance, and ensuring project excellence while maintaining strong client connections and safeguarding quality across all project phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent technical experience.
• 15+ years in project management within Power Delivery/Utility.
• 5+ years with IOUs, IPPs, Co‑Ops, Munis, etc., leading engineering or construction teams.
• 5+ years managing high‑voltage and/or EHV power delivery projects.
• Familiarity with contract, risk, change, and schedule management (Primavera P6).
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office, Visio, Project, and PM tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership for projects of varying scale and complexity, overseeing design, budgets, forecasts, margins, KPIs, risk contingencies, and deliverables.
• Guide staffing, salary reviews, mentoring, and development of PMs.
• Develop engagement strategies for stakeholders and maintain client relationships.
• Assist in pursuit activities, Go/No-Go decisions, and contract review.
• Lead technical reviews and ensure QA/QC adherence.
• Maintain regular client reporting on status, safety, and scope changes.
