Job summary

ABB in the United States is seeking a field engineer to provide hands-on execution of projects, including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of Power Delivery equipment. The role supports remote work models and requires strong technical knowledge in power systems.

You will travel up to 75% of the time, lead outages, and coordinate with site engineers and contractors. ABB offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth within a global organization.

Qualifications

High School Diploma and 8 years of related engineering / field experience.
Ability and willingness to travel up to an estimated 75% of the time.
Experience in repair and refurbishment of LV and MV circuit breakers is preferred.
Technical skills in testing, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting of medium voltage synchronous machines are preferred.
Candidates must already have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for hands-on execution of projects including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design, and repair of Power Delivery equipment in respective areas.
Lead outages with field engineers, technicians, and contractors; manage site projects and prepare reports and timesheets.
