Job summary

ABB is seeking a Field Technician, Power Delivery to lead hands-on work on transformers, switchgear, breakers, and related equipment. You will perform startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair while coordinating with customers and ABB service teams.

The role requires frequent travel and strict safety adherence. You will join a team focused on delivering reliable power delivery solutions, leveraging field experience and strong technical knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering/Engineering Technology or 2+ years field experience with a high school diploma.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Ability and willingness to travel ~75% and maintain US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Lead startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design, and repair of Power Delivery equipment.
• Coordinate with customers and ABB teams to schedule jobs and obtain required materials.
• Perform safety analyses and required paperwork prior to starting work.
• Drive and travel to remote customer locations and work sites as needed.
