Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead power delivery construction programs in Texas. You will guide complex execution, mentor professionals, and drive best practices while coordinating with clients, EPCs, and internal teams.

The role requires extensive field experience, strong knowledge of safety and regulations, and proficiency with Procore and Autodesk Construction Cloud. Remote work within the TX region is supported, with periodic travel for meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or closely related discipline or demonstrated proven equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of post-education experience in construction management or related areas.
• Expert knowledge of construction delivery methods, phasing strategies, and field operations.
• Proven success leading large, complex construction programs in public and private sectors.
• Experience advising on strategic project risks, logistics constraints, and contract compliance.
• Deep knowledge of construction laws, codes, regulations, and safety requirements.
• Ability to interpret complex contract documents, scopes, specs, and project controls data.
• Strong leadership to mentor professionals and build talent pipelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight and align field operations with contract execution for a major power delivery program.
• Manage the project quality program and ensure safety compliance on site.
• Build and lead an internal workforce across multiple projects in the client’s service territory.
• Review EPC contractor proposals, cost estimates, scope, schedules, and resource plans.
• Develop constructability plans including transmission line access routes and pull plans.
• Lead site teams to follow quality construction methods and safe work practices.
• Drive project delivery in logical steps to maintain schedule.
• Collaborate with client and contractors to resolve project issues and disputes.
• Oversee progress verification, change management, and schedule control.
• Prepare reports for management and participate in project meetings.
