PayTrace by North is a B2B payments expert with a remote role seeking a senior Database Administrator to support enterprise PostgreSQL and MS SQL environments. You will manage production, development, and test databases, ensure high availability, and respond to incidents after hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or engineering.
• 5+ years supporting databases, with at least 2.5 years in PostgreSQL.
• Experience in Linux and Windows environments.
• Proficient in AWS Postgres RDS, SQL Server RDS, Aurora RDS, and EC2.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain production, development, and test databases.
• Ensure availability per SLAs and recoverability.
• Monitor performance, backups, and logs; resolve issues.
• Support DR strategy and multi-region setup.
• Create BI reports and provide data to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with development teams on queries and architecture.
