Job summary

Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution is seeking a POS Technology Manager to own POS, KDS, and mobile ordering across hundreds of locations. You will lead a multi-site team, drive reliability, and manage hardware and software lifecycles.

The role requires 8+ years in POS/retail tech, strong vendor relationships, and experience with enterprise security standards. A hybrid retail tech environment with focus on guest experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in POS or retail tech with hardware, payment, and back-of-house integrations.
• Experience with KDS and/or mobile ordering platforms.
• Experience with Android-based clients and Windows servers.
• Systems thinking across incidents, hardware, vendors, and processes.
• Practical experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean, etc.).
• Strong communication with non-technical stakeholders.
• Advocate for diverse and inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of systems engineers and mentor staff.
• Own reliability across POS, KDS, and mobile ordering hardware and software.
• Manage budgets and billing in MyPPM and support forecasting.
• Lead rollouts, upgrades, and new location openings; manage vendor relationships.
• Own the hardware lifecycle across Android/Windows/iOS fleet via SOTI.
• Own disaster recovery and drills across platforms; lead recovery during incidents.
• Manage key vendors and SLAs with L2/L3 support partners.
• Be the go-to for PCI-DSS and SOC audits and security incident response.
• Guide infrastructure decisions including LAN/WAN and telecom projects.
• Plan and estimate with a technical lens; keep projects on time and scope.
• Track emerging tech and push the team to adopt AI tooling.
• Support on-call escalations and lead hypercare during launches.
