Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks a Senior Portfolio Risk and Strategy Analyst to partner with Lines of Business and RCA teams to design and oversee risk management frameworks across Lending Services.

You will identify gaps, escalate risks, and drive improvements in processes and controls. You will lead Champion/Challenger testing across Consumer, Mortgage, and Commercial Lending, translate results into strategy enhancements, and support forecasting, performance analysis, and reporting with Finance and Operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Typically more than eight years of applicable experience.
• Experience applying Champion/Challenger testing within Lending Services (Consumer, Mortgage, Commercial, Collections, Recovery, Repossession, Loss Mitigation).
• Proficiency in SQL or Python for data-driven analysis, testing, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead Champion/Challenger testing across Lending Services lines (Consumer, Mortgage, Commercial, Collections, Recovery, Repossession, Loss Mitigation).
• Translate test results and insights into actionable strategy enhancements and implementation recommendations.
• Analyze portfolio and program performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with Finance and business lines to support forecasting, goal setting, and reporting.
• Apply AI capabilities to analytics, testing, and reporting to improve efficiency and insights.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to implement strategy and monitor performance across Lending Services.
• Communicate complex findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
