Amerant is seeking a Portfolio Senior Officer to strengthen front-end risk discipline and improve ongoing portfolio awareness across assigned client relationships. The role emphasizes judgment, escalation, and coordination to identify emerging risks and support Relationship Managers throughout the deal cycle.

Responsibilities include high-level financial reviews, deal screening, and ongoing relationship administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or finance required; master's preferred.
• 3+ years of commercial & retail portfolio management experience in lieu of education.
• Formal credit training required.

Responsibilities

• Early Financial Review & Risk Triage: perform high-level reviews of borrower information to identify deterioration and risk signals.
• Origination Support & Deal Screening: assist RMs during early deal structuring and preliminary analyses.
• Ongoing Relationship Administration & Accountability: ensure timely receipt of financial statements and covenant testing.
• Governance, Compliance & Risk Culture: maintain knowledge of credit policies and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with CSU to collect financials and other required information.
