Job summary

Amerant Bank seeks an experienced credit risk professional to assess and recommend risk factors for Commercial & Industrial and Corporate Banking transactions. You will review financials, monitor covenants, and support credit decisions across the portfolio.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance and 7+ years in credit underwriting/analysis; strong communication, MS Suite proficiency, and exposure to SQL/Salesforce/nCino are a plus. Hybrid/remote work eligible.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in credit underwriting/credit analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance required; formal credit training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide underwriting/analysis for new and existing credits in C&I and Corporate Banking.
• Conduct annual reviews and monitor covenant testing and policy compliance.
• Identify and evaluate risks, exceptions, and mitigants in loan structures.
• Prepare credit memos, financial analyses, and documentation for approvals.
• Monitor maturities, delinquencies, and portfolio-wide red flags; report to supervisor.
• Coordinate with Credit Administration, Loan Operations, and related units for documentation and approvals.
• Assist in site visits, risk reviews, and AML-related compliance tasks.
